I am Emma Burt, best known by my maiden name, Emma Wherry, the former Cornish Guardian reporter (many years ago) and I am so pleased to announce I am back as the new manager of The John Betjeman Centre, run by local charity Concern Wadebridge.

As a proud Bridger it’s great to be ‘home’ and seeing so many friendly faces I loved working here as the administrator so to come back as manager is a real honour for me.

The centre is now open 10am-4pm Monday to Friday and most of the activities are back up and running. Our café is open until 3.30pm serving breakfasts, lunches and some yummy cakes.

This is a wonderful community hub and we would love to welcome everyone to use our facilities.

We pride ourselves on being a friendly, safe place for everyone – of all ages – to come and meet friends and take part in activities.

If you would like more information on classes, room hire or the café please do not hesitate to give us a call on 01208 812392.
