After a successful initial meeting, the hard work is now going to begin!!
With help from Travis Perkins, we are now in a position to start building the Shed with work benches etc. The first meeting will be on the 7th April, 2-4pm in the old engine shed at The John Betjeman Centre, where anyone who might be interested in this project can help prepare it for use.
Andy Lyle Manager of Concern Wadebridge said “this is a wonderful opportunity for not just men to have a place to renovate and build in and also a place for chatter and laughter, we are very much looking forward to developing this project and watching it grow”.
This is one of several new initiatives being developed by Concern Wadebridge and the other ones to look out for, are trips out, voluntary car service, Access Wadebridge (hiring of mobility scooters to help you get out and about in Wadebridge), a monthly minibus excursion & coach trips, Cares Support Group for those caring for people with Mental Health problems (Monday 18th April 2-4pm) and a Stroke Awareness Day (Monday 16th May) and a lot lot more.

Thank you to Linden again for your help!
