May again sees Concern Wadebridge developing and supporting new activities at The Betjeman Centre. With a successful open meeting supporting carers of those diagnosed with mental health problem, a new support group will meet on the first Wednesday of the month 2 – 4pm, this will be initially run by Cornwall Carers and help those carers who are supporting those with mental health issues. This is an open meeting and anyone can turn up.
On the 16th May there will an open day run by Duncan Goodman Arae Manager of The Stroke Association, with the morning run as a drop in where carers and those diagnosed with a Stroke can come and meet Duncan and discuss issues they face, it will also be an opportunity for people to call in for a blood pressure check. The afternoon will be more formal, for those who are interested in setting up a Stroke Support Group in the Wadebridge Area. On a lighter note, for those who have seen and wanted to try Zumba, there is a new version Zumba Gold, which is starting at The Betjeman Centre on the 20th May 11.30am – 12.15pm the instructor will be Jeanne Lloyd and to find out more about this activity give her a call on 07907 208306 or call in on the 29th May and give it a go!!!
